Sea Stars are not really fish and belong to a group called invertebrates because they do not have backbones.
Starfish (also called sea stars) is one of the most common recognizable creature that can live in different habitats, such as: tidal pools, rocky shores, sea grass, kelp beds, and coral reefs. Some people think that they are cute while other people are afraid of them.

Sea stars have a central body disc that blends into its radiating arms. They can be many colors like red, orange, pink, yellow, white, blue, green, tan, brown, gray, black, and purple. Most sea stars have five arms but can grow as many as 50 arms. If the star fish should lose an arm, it can regenerate another.
Starfish have a small red eye spot in the middle. They can see light and dark.
The Sea Star can live all over the world, usually in rocky places. They eat good things like mussels and seaweeds. The Star Fish is truly an amazing sea creature.
