Globalization
Why do we speak of globalisation?
Globalisation is fashionable. One can hear of it whether on TV, on the radio or in the newspapers. What is globalisation? According to the dictionary, it is “the fact of becoming world-wide, to spread worldwide.” Let me explain…
Nowadays, there are more and more exchanges between all the countries in the world. There are economic changes, i.e.: a country buys goods and sells them to another country. There are also cultural exchanges thanks to trips, exhibitions, sports' events…
There are numerous reasons to globalisation. First of all, it is due to History. The more the years go by, the more relations between countries can be important. For example: the friendship between the Quebeckers and the French has a long history. Then, it is due to the means of communications. Today, there are new means to communicate between countries; the web (internet) for example. So if you have a computer, you can send messages anywhere in the world. Even better: come and have a look at your drawings or stories on the website “hellokids”!
