How to Make Chocolate Fondue
Things You'll Need:
- Crockpot or slow-cooker
- 6 one-ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate
- one cup of light cream
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/8 tsp. of salt
- 3 Tablespoons creme de cacao
- Foods for dipping such as bite sized chunks of fruit such as strawberries, or marshmallow. Angel Food Cake cut into bite sized squares is also wonderful.
Step 1
Put the chocolate in your slow cooker. Cover it and heat it on High until the chocolate melts (approx. 30 min.)
Step 2
Stir in the cream, sugar, butter, and salt.
Step 3
Continue heating on high until blended (approx. 10 min.) STIR continually.
Step 4
Add the creme de cacao and turn the heat to LOW.
Step 5
Use long handled forks to spear the fruit, angel food cake chunks, or other dipping food items into the melted chocolate and enjoy this treat with friends or family.
