Ski Jumping

Ski jumping is a simple event: zip down an enormous, steep ramp and then soar through the air for as long as possible before nailing a perfect landing.  If you are not faint of heart, this is the sport for you.  The first medal for ski jumping was awarded in Chamonix in 1924.
