Curling
Curling may be a mystery to you. It is a team sport with four players per team. Each team pushes a 42-pound stone on ice toward a series of concentric circles, similar to a dart board. The goal is to get the stone closest to the center circle, or tee. Sweepers use brooms to clear the path for the stone and increase its trajectory. Curling was developed in 16th century Scotland and the first Olympic medals for curling were awarded in 1924.
