Shani Davis

The current world record holder in the 1000m and 1500m speed skating events, Shani Davis could become the first man in Olympic history to win back to back gold medals.  A Chicago native, Shani was the first African American man to win an individual gold medal at the Winter Olympics and was the first African American to qualify for the US Speed Skating Team.  Shani has already earned his place in history.  Keep your eyes on him to see if he cements his place in history in Vancouver.
