Candy Apples

Kids can't resist crunchy candy apples! 

It's perfect for a Birthday celebration!

For almost 10 people:                   - 10 craft sticks          - 10 big red or golden apples          - 2 cups white sugar          - 1 cup light corn syrup          - 1-1/2 cups water          - 8 drops red food coloring

 
Cooking Instructions:
 
Grease cookie sheets.
Prick sticks into whole stemmed apples.
Use a medium pan over medium-high heat and add sugar, corn syrup and water.
Heat to 300º to 310º F
Remove from heat and stir in food coloring.
Holding each apple by its stick, dip in syrup and remove and turn to coat evenly.
Place on prepared sheets to harden
