Potato Stamp
You can always find a potato in a kitchen that can become a potato stamp. With a potato and some paint, you can quickly create interesting and funny paintings.
This is an activity that the children will love!
Necessary materials
- Potatoes
- White sheets of paper
- Cardstock paper
- Scissors
- Box cutter
- Black pen
- Paint
How to make a potatoe stamp
- Draw a shape on the white sheet of paper, making sure it's smaller than the potato. Cut this shape.
- Cut the potato in half, put the shape on the yellow part and use the box cutter to cut the potato around it.
- Make the potato stamp, by taking off the part that must stay white (everything around the shape).
- Soak the shape on the potato into the paint and you can paint on the cardstock paper!
The painting in the tutorial represent a flower, but everything is possible, every shape and every painting! Get creative!
