Origami Butterfly

In this tutorial we will teach you to make a nice little origami butterfly!

Equipment required

• A square sheet of paper of any color

How to achieve this origami

1. Fold your paper diagonally and then reopen it. Again on the other diagonal.
2. Now fold the sheet horizontally, open it, and reopen vertically.
3. The sheet is now strong, which will help you for the rest of origami.
4. Fold down the layer on the horizontal centerline.
5. Do the same with the other side to get a long rectangle.
6. Now fold the left and right sides on the vertical center line. You now have a square.
7. Rectify a wing of the square, and pull on the two inner corners to flatten again forming two triangles on the sides.
8. Reproduce the same operation on the other side.
9. You now have four points separated in two by a line.
10. Fold two triangles on one side of that line to the side to get some kind of boat.
11. Return foldingmaking the "shell" of the boat to get a triangle.
12. Return again and this time origami folds the triangle in half.
13. You have again a triangle. Fold the top point of the triangle slightly.
14. By pinching the little fold well between your fingers, unfold both wings on each side.
15. Adjusts a bit and you get your butterfly origami!

You can do more, and hang by a thread to decorate your room. You then get a swarm of butterflies that will fly over your head!

You can also decorate them to give them multicolored wings. It would also make a beautiful decoration on top of a wrapped gift you may give someone for their birthday, Mother's Day or Father's Day.
