Insect Stickers
Making something look real and 3D on any flat surface is fun to create.
We will experiment with this technique by sticking small insects in the house pretending they are swarming on the walls. The effect is very realistic and may scare your whole family!
Materials needed:
- The insect at the bottom of this page sheet, printed on transparent sticker paper.
- Scissors
How to use the insects
- Begins by printing on transparent sticker paper sheet with all insects, that you will find at the bottom of this page (To download the image in high resolution, click on: Print the leaf insects ). Above are: a column of ants, young cockroaches (brown and wingless), adult cockroaches (brown with wings), young cockroaches (black and wingless) and adult cockroaches (with black wings) and an army of ants.
- Choose a flat surface in your house, like a smooth wall for example. With the insects selected you want to paste to the wall you will want to cut them one by one to paste where you want. If you choose the column of ants, be careful that it does not stop in the middle of the wall, so to avoid this, you can print several times for more. You can also cut the column of ants into several pieces in order to move in different directions.
For example, the photo against several portions of columns of ants were cut and placed end to end so that the bonding is consistent and fairly long final column (and only ants have been added):
Here, a single column of ants has been used:
And there are the cockroaches that were selected on a kitchen table. Repulsive effect is guaranteed!
Finally, a nice wall with disgusting cockroaches that seem to come from a real plant:
Sure, all these insects will give goosebumps to your family and friends, eek! These would be great when decorating your house for Halloween! Happy Halloween!
